The program was a true celebration of #HOUtech - from Mayor Turner calling out Houston as “Silicon BAYOU”, to Station CEO Gaby Rowe sharing her insights on the transformation of Houston as construction for The Ion building commences, to pitches from four #HOUtech startups. |Rice talks plan for 'The Ion' - Plans and an official name for midtown innovation district's anchor building - The Ion - were released just hours before Station 3.0. Allison Thacker, President & CIO of Rice Management Company, took the stage to give a few words on the the project breaking ground this May.|
|The HoustonVR Lab at Station Houston launches - The AR/VR Lab was the clear people's choice for the most exciting part of Station's space revamp. Attendees had the chance to demo experiences from three AR/VR startups that came to Houston just for this event.|
